Ella's Closet

We finally found some time this weekend to organize Ella's closet.

She can now reach her own clothes, put away her shoes and organize her toys. I LOVE it.

Notice the wire basket in the middle of the image... that is what we refer to as toy jail. When she leaves anything on the floor, it goes in jail for a week. Ella wasn't convinced that this was a good idea, but she has reluctantly decided to go along with it... although she did rename it. We now refer to it as the toy kennel.

Craig did such a good job that I have decided to commission him for our closet.

10.21.07 - Random

Ella asked if I would take her picture before we went to church because she picked out her clothes on her own. She LOVES those silver shoes that Daddy bought, and will wear them with anything... whether they coordinate or not.

And then she says... make sure you take a close picture so that you can get those blue, blue eyes! LOL

She offered to take a picture of Craig and I, she's still learning about composition.

We took these later in the afternoon because when the sun hits the trees it looks magical!

BYOP!!

We had so much fun, the weather was perfect!! Well, it was a little chilly, but I think it was great autumn weather. Click any image for a larger version.

And here is the proof I was looking for. Connor's pumpkin won in the non-carved category, BUT his mom was the children's activities director AND she spent a lot time at the kids table... as evidenced by this image. Makes me wonder...

I love these two shots of Ella and I.

A special thanks to my dear friend (and fellow photographer) Joanne for taking most of the images at BYOP. I am usually too busy to take any pictures, but thanks to her we have lots of images from this year!

This pumpkin won in the free-hand category.

Here is the voting table, with the much coveted Pumpkin Champion Medals.

The kids were restless as the parents enjoyed a few beverages around the campfire, so they decided to decorate themselves.

We had about 60 people, a ton of food and a great time!! Thanks to everyone for all of their help, we can't wait until next year!

Which reminds me, we have already selected the date, mark your calendars for 10/4/08!!

Pumpkin Land

I volunteered to help with Ella's class field trip to Janoski's Pumpkin Land last week. We had the most beautiful day, even though it was pretty warm. I had four children in my group and while they were pretty well behaved, it was still exhausting.
