Lighting

Craig and I were playing around with off camera lighting the other night. I'll let you determine which frames are his and which are mine. LOL

This is funny

Watch Evan go from 0-60.

Give the image a second to load and then just drag your mouse over the image. Try it a couple of times (mouse over the image, then move mouse away, repeat).

I figured out how to embed javascript in Blogger. I took two images within seconds of each other and loaded them with a mouse-over. If you don't see the second image, send me an email.

Busy Day

The kiddos and I had a busy day playing the other day.

Boy boy puts EVERYTHING in his mouth, even though it sometimes makes him mad. LOL

I was watching the boy and when I turned around, I found this in the sink. I'm told that the Polly Pockets were at a spa party.

Little always has to be in the middle of the action.

Ella had to breastfeed her baby because she was crying.

But she had to cover up because it was "unappropriate" to feed the baby where they were.

Then she had to help her baby poop. We always pull up the boy's legs when he is pooping... can you imagine trying to poop flat on your back? And it also got me to thinking about how Craig and mom were holding my legs during labor. You wouldn't believe how flexible you are when you want to get a baby out.

Ella thought she needed to take a picture of boy and I, she is pretty good with the Canon 5D!

Maria

A few of you have asked me about Maria since she posts comments on my blog. I had the honor of documenting Maria's wedding last March, it's hard to believe that she's been married a year! I will also be shooting her brother's wedding this August. I adore her Italian family, they are so kind and her mom makes the best cookies! I love cookies!

Click here to view her post on my wedding blog, isn't she gorgeous!?!

Panera

We took Evan to his first restaurant! He was very excited and very well behaved. I'm always a little nervous to take him places like this because I don't want to disturb the other patrons.

Ella's Project

Ella made us name tags today. It was especially important for boy boy since he is unable to communicate his name. She suggested that we put it on his back so that he doesn't try to eat it.

Aren't they the cutest?!

The crick!

The weather has been so nice this week that we finally had a chance to take boy boy to visit great grandma. And he also got to see the crick for the first time! He was also lucky enough to get a visit from his favorite Aunt Nancy. She LOVES babies!

Special Day

Evan was baptized on Sunday, look at him all dressed up for churchie! Ella was so excited for him to get bath-a-tized (again, too cute to correct).

This was a really special day for us, for many reasons, but the image below is nothing short of a miracle. From left: Rachael, her daughter Riley, Jimmy, myself, Rickie, Mike and Ella in front. Jimmy and Rickie are two of Donnie's closest friends and it's not very often (ever) that you see them in church. Along with my brother Mike, we believe the last time they were in church was at Donnie's funeral. As Jimmy would say... you don't usually use the word Jimmy and church in the same sentence. LOL

Jimmy and Donnie were inseparable for most of their lives and I know that Donnie's death impacted Jimmy as much as it impacted us. I remember him looking off in the distance one day, telling me... I only had one best friend, one best friend, one best friend. It is important to me that both Ella and Evan know Jimmy because he's the closest thing they will get to Uncle Donnie. Nothing made me more proud than seeing a church pew full of hoopies supporting Craig and I. Truly a once in a lifetime experience.

We wanted to get a big family picture, but for some reason Ella ran off to play... as that is obviously more important.

We love this little boy, he is so special!

Pastor Rich was kind enough to conduct the ceremony for us, I am still waiting for the video from dad.

Congratulations Rachel & John!

My friend Rachel had her first baby on April 17th. His name is John Patrick and he was 8lbs, 14ozs! I had my camera with me, but had forgot the battery (don't ask), so I had to take this picture with my iPhone. I'm hoping to visit them soon to take some nicer pictures!

Rice Cereal

Boy boy is still undecided about this cereal business, although for the most part he does pretty well.

Experiences

Ella tells us all the time how she likes to do experiences. We're pretty sure she means experiments, but it's just too cute to correct. Anyway, in her latest experience, she put an egg in vinegar because apparently it dissolves the shell. A bonus of this particular experience is that it also attracted flies. She told us that we had better keep it outside, eitherwise (again, too cute to correct) it would smell.

Big boy!

Boy boy is four months old!!

He enjoys rice cereal and sitting in his Bumbo. He has an original, first generation Bumbo before they ruined it and changed the design because of the recall.

We affectionately refer to it as his bimbo. We ask him, "do you want your bimbo boy boy?" ROFL

If you are not familiar:
LOL = laugh out loud and
ROFL = rolling on floor laughing.

He can roll over!

Look at our big boy, isn't he sweet!?! In the last few days he has started reaching for toys and pulling them to his mouth and rolling from his belly to his back! WOW!!

And he is doing really well lifting his head whilst on his tummy.

These images are really special to me. For the first time, he is not just passively sitting in his bouncy chair or laying on the floor, he has become an active participant!

Here is Ella at the same age. Poor girl, I was a terrible photographer back then.
