We are: PENN STATE!!

I am in State College this weekend shooting a wedding (about 3.5 hours from home). Craig and I had planned on spending the weekend together, alone, in a hotel room but we had to make alternate arrangements when mom fell ill. I am here with my friend Pam, who graciously agreed to help. I met Pam last year through a wedding client and she shot with Craig and I several times. She is a school teacher, but also an upcoming photographer... check out her site, I am so impressed with her work!

Anyway, being back at University Park brings back a lot of memories. I graduated from Penn State with a degree in mechanical engineering back in the olden days, as Ella would say. I was digging around for a picture to post, but that was back when we used film and I can't find anything (I guess it was the olden days). Gotta get those pictures organized one of these days.

Little and Licious

I refer to Evan as boy boy licious... as in delicious, because he's so yummy.

Anyway, Little and Licious are slowly becoming better friends. Little wants to sniff and boy boy wants to eat.

Although sometimes Little just cannot be bothered.

Shingles?

Mom calls last night and tells me that she has shingles. I was like, huh? Shingles? This was shocking news because she has the immune system of a horse (I'm assuming horses are healthy, can anyone confirm?). Anyway, please pray for her, I've heard that shingles can be painful.

Thought I would post one of my favorite pictures that I've ever taken of her and Ella in happier times.

5.27.08 - Random

Clematis in bloom.

Because I won't have the time to plant (or care for) annuals this year, I have to rely on the few perennials that I have planted in the past for beauty.

Memorial Day Picnic

What a beautiful day!! The water was freezing, but that didn't stop Goosie.

Aunt Nancy loves little boy boys.

Boy boy is getting a little better at sitting up, he can do it by himself for almost a minute! LOL This really is a big deal people. Sitting up is a huge milestone.

Uncle Mike and boy boy have reached an understanding. I think the expression on his face says, "It's cool momma, I'm ok with UM now."

This activity concerned me since I know the frequency at which boy boy spits up.

My 89 year old grandma chugging a Zima. Good times. LOL

The newest member of the gang. He likes to chew bottles of Neocate and shoes. I believe his name is Rex.

Sweet Potatoes

Oh my gosh, he LOVED them!!

We are praying that his sensitive digestive system can handle food and only time will tell. We are only introducing one food at a time and we will keep an eye on his bowel movements for any sign of trouble. It would be awful to take away his sweet potatoes, he loves them so much.

Redneck Pet Door

Need I say more?

Last year Little had an altercation with Little-look-alike and they managed to create this hole in the screen door. This year she has cleverly turned it into her own pet door. Little-look-alike lives down the street and could easily be mistaken for Little.

Wonderful Visit

All of us had a fabulous time visiting with Uncle Brian this past weekend, we are going to miss him!

When we were taking the 'head comparison' pictures, I didn't notice this one of boy boy feeling Uncle Brian's face. Too cute.

On several occasions Brian would say, "Heather tells how the cow eats the cabbage." It is sometimes difficult to decipher his southern sayings, but I think he means that I am forthright. LOL

Saturday

Deck staining in progress... until the rain started.

I wanted to get a nice picture of the two boys, but this is what I got most of the time.

Or this...

After several minutes, I was finally able to get a nice shot.

I like this picture because of the way the sun was hitting boy boy's hair... look at those few little hairs sticking up.

We all know that boy boy is big and has a large head... but it's somewhat ironic that Uncle Brian asked where he gets these features from. I mean, hello?? Isn't it obvious?

Uncle Brian

Craig's brother, Brian, is visiting us this weekend from Arkansas, we are so excited! Brian is a deck/fence/wood restoration expert and Craig asked him to come help restore our deck.

Even the pretty boy got in on the action.

If you know Brian, then you know that he can be very expressive!

Wow, look at the difference while he was cleaning, they will be staining tomorrow.

Uncle Brian and Ella were playing chess.

While the poor, neglected boy boy looked on.

Dancing

Daddy and Ella were dancing the other night in the driveway. There wasn't any music.

But that small detail does not seem to matter to these two.

Oh, and the azaleas were in full bloom.
