Ella's Birthday

Several pictures from Ella's birthday party.

A little pre-party snack. He loves those Craisins (notice the bed-head from nap time).

Mom makes the most delicious stuffed pepper appetizers (with fresh jalapeno's from her garden) and I convinced Ella's older friends to give them a try.

Miss Rose was brave enough to try one, but you should have seen her dive for the water when her mouth started burning!

Mister loves being with the big kids (notice messy, long hair).

He didn't care that it wasn't his birthday, he just enjoyed the festivities.

After everyone left, it was time to give my dad a hair cut. Well, I decided (after a few drinks), that I was tired of combing Mister's hair in the morning, so he got a buzz as well!

Seven?!

Someone, please help me with my math... she was born in 2002, so does that really mean that she's seven? It just can't be true.

Aren't you listening to me? She was JUST born.

Maybe we should stop feeding her.

Because a mother's heart just can't take this growing up business.

She said to me the other day, "obviously you don't know what little kids are thinking because you were born as an adult."

That's funny, cause I still feel like a kid. Which means I couldn't have been born as an adult.

And her favorite word lately is, "obviously." This pose in the tree was her idea because, "obviously she likes climbing trees."

Obviously I need some help, because I think I'm in denial about her being seven.

JP's Birthday Party

On Sunday Ella and I headed over to John Patrick's first birthday party. Boy Boy had just gone down for a nap, so he and daddy stayed behind.

I like this picture of JP and Rachel's dad, he loves his Pappy.

Ella and her new friend Angela.

I don't think he was digging what was going on...

Until his mom gave him the good stuff!

He LOVED his cake and was shoveling it in as fast as he could. I personally think his mom took it away from him too soon, but don't worry, I feel it my duty as Godmother to sneak stuff to him every once in a while.

ps. For some reason I was in a black & white/sepia type mood today. Must be the rain.

Family Portraits

The day after Craig's party we thought it would be nice to get some pictures of the family together. This is cousin Lory, she is Uncle Larry's daughter. She currently lives in San Antonio with her husband and two children. The cousins had not see each other in almost 15 years.

Craig's dad Ed also had not been up to visit for a while. He has something against yankees. Especially ones that "steal" his son and keep him in Pennsylvania. But apparently I can still make him laugh.

Ed's brother Uncle Larry and his wife Nancy came in from San Diego.

The Texans wanted to get some pictures outside in the snow... the aftermath of the "blizzard." LOL

Oh. my. Look at Brian!

Then someone yelled, "snowball fight!" (I didn't even realize they knew what that was).

For some reason the anger got directed at the innocent (and very kind) photographer.

Two seconds later I screamed out, "I'm hit!"

Back inside with Carolyn, the snow is definitely not for her.

I think that wraps up all the pictures from birthday weekend, it was wonderful having everyone here!

Party Day

I'm a little behind with these images because I caught that terrible cold that is going around. Anyway, here is boy boy having his pre-party snack.

Carolyn and Brian.

I think it's wonderful that Craig's parents came together for his party.

Brian with Joanne and Karen.

Who knows.

Jody and boy boy.

Craig said a few words prior to cutting the cake.

Uncle Larry and wife Nancy looked on.

As did John, Rachel, and John Patrick.

Savannah, Kennedy and Connor.

And then he broke down. Very emotional.

A hug for mom.

These two brothers still behave as if they were teenagers!

Brian was hysterical when giving Craig his gift of monkey butt powder. You really had to be there when he was explaining how it prevents chaffing.

Mr. boy boy licious was having his party in the refrigerator. He loves to play in there and we will often find toys and other miscellaneous items next to the milk.

We had so much fun and I will be posting more images of the family that we took the following day.
