Christmas Day

This Christmas was an absolute blast, we had the best time! Ella was sooooo excited!! Of course she woke up first and we ran downstairs to see what Santa had left.

He brought her the knitting kit that she asked for and she promptly gave it to me. What a sweet little girl.

Then mr. boy boy licious joined the scene.

And of course Grandma and Grandpa.

And that's when the real fun began. Mom brought them a ton of candy and boy boy was first to explore.

He knew there was something yummy inside, just wasn't quite sure how to get to it.

Back to pounding his hand on presents.

And hiding in the wrapping paper. Which reminds me, Little did not participate in Christmas this year because she wasn't feeling well and it was kinda sad. She loves to hide in the paper and play with the presents.

Grandma gave Goosie the huge barn pictured above and the horses to reside in it.

I was showing off my slippers again.

I have a funny story to tell about this present, but it warrants its own post.

I think this year was THE BEST Christmas... the kids were fun, I didn't have to take care of a newborn, my breasts were not engorged, we all slept well and I got a ton of great gifts. I'm pretty sure that you can see the look of peace and happiness on my face.

I love, LOVE these brown boots that Craig gave me.

Mom made out pretty well this year, although anything would be better than the gold, myrrh and frankincense that Dad got her last year (don't ask).

UM made an appearance after sleeping half the day. I don't have a picture of the gift Dad gave him, but it had to be the funniest thing ever... Mike opens up the sunglasses and Dad says, "and those aren't the cheap kind, I got them at Walmart! " ROFL (I know that Mom is gonna make me clarify that Dad bought them in the optical department rather than the main part of the store, somehow she believes that justifies his comment).

My first hat with my knitting kit! I will be posting more pictures of my creations soon.

Oh my. Great idea Mom. Boy boy loved this... this... thing and did not want to give it up. Sticky mess was EVERYWHERE. When he went down for his nap I threw it away.

We spent the evening at great-Grandma's as per tradition, but I didn't take many pictures because I was having too much fun!

Christmas Eve

Spent Christmas Eve day finishing up cookies for Santa.

Notice the scary looking Italian mafia man created by my husband. Not sure what that's all about.

Ella and I went to my parents for a wonderful seafood extravaganza. Craig and boy boy stayed at home because he was napping when it was time to leave and he would need to go to bed before we got home.

After dinner we attended the candlelight service at church, a tradition in our family for 30 years.

Ella was playing around with my camera while I was catching up with a few old friends, I think this picture is pretty good!

My dad is the maintenance manager at the church and he was cleaning up between services. Reminds me of Ghostbusters (remember that movie? hysterical).

Ella and I were having some fun and I was trying to show my wonderful new slippers that Jody gave to me.

Ella made this ornament at school.

Ahhhh, even mr. boy boy licious has an ornament.

Setting out the cookies for Santa.

Finally, Christmas Pictures!

Sorry for the delay, but I am feeling a little overwhelmed with the amount of photographs that I took over Christmas. I am lovin' my new Canon 5D Mark II, which means that I'm shooting like crazy!

We had Rachel, John and JP over the week before Christmas for dinner and presents. JP loves watching Ella.

Of course Little is always in on the action.

Ella loves the girly lotion and soap that Rachel gave her.

I'm not sure what the topic of discussion was, but it looks pretty serious.

Rachel and I used to take nice pictures together... now the kids rule the roost.

Cards

I send out three different types of Christmas cards each year:
1. friends and family
2. clients that were married the current year
3. clients getting married next year

I have a few of each card left, and I hate to see them go to waste. If you'd like to receive one, drop me an email at heatherjl@gmail.com with your address and which card you would like to receive.

This is the front of our personal card this year.

Christmas Tree

We went to Hozak Farms the day after Thanksgiving on our annual tree excursion. Every year, we look at the tractor and say... one of these years we'll take a ride out to the field to cut our own tree. But every year it's too cold so we just pick one that has already been cut. Maybe when boy boy is older we'll get adventuresome.

Big girl leads the way.

Boy boy didn't recognize me with my sunglasses and hat on, and I'm not sure why girl girl was giving herself a double chin. But, I always say that a bad picture is better than no picture at all!

Sissy always gets to cut the rope to open up the tree.

Teamwork.

Of course he loves the tree, loves to play with ornaments and has even figured out how to get a candy cane down AND open it.

Ella is always warm and insists on wearing summer clothes it the house.

He had bed head after his nap and I thought it was cute.

We only put non-breakable ornaments at the bottom of the tree... for obvious reasons.
